Today is an A Day

Do you want to learn the art of "organized arguing"? Would you like to become more confident? Do you wish you were more influential? You need to join the first ever Gorzycki Middle School Debate Club. We will meet every Monday from 3:50-4:50 in Rm 327. The Bowie High School Debate Team officers and Teacher will be hosting this club every Monday here at GMS in Rm 327. The first club will met this Monday, Jan 31st. Please get a permission slip from the counseling office so you can stay after school.

The GMS Writing Club meets today, January 26th after school in room 706. This week, we'll be talking about places to submit your writing for publication! Come to write, share, and hang out with other writers. All are welcome. Please make sure you have a ride picking you up at 5pm.

Choir students are reminded to report to the cafeteria tomorrow after school from 3:50 to 4:40pm to rehearse for the 5th grade fine arts performance on Friday. Attendance will be checked and a grade will be given for the rehearsal and the performance.

Choir students who were selected for the 2022 TMEA Region Choirs should report to the choir room during tutoring time today to take a picture and rehearse for the final concert.

Hey Tigers, it's time for the Hunter’s Heroes Superhero Toy drive! Hunter’s Heroes is a superhero-themed toy drive created in honor of Hunter Henderson. Hunter was a four-year-old boy who loved superheroes. He even liked to pretend he was one. One time when he was playing soccer the goalie on the other team fell down and Hunter went straight over to help him up. Hunter liked to help people and now we have a chance to help people too. Please bring any new superhero-themed toys to school and put them in the boxes labeled Hunter’s Heroes in the Commons or bring them to Room 508. There are other ways to donate as well, including at the Circle C Community Center. In addition, there’s an Amazon Wish List located in the Excel Slide - ask your Excel teacher for the link! Please make your donations as soon as possible to bring a smile to a kid's face. Ask any PAL or Ms. Sindt in room 508 if you have any questions!

Students please remember that once you walk into school you are not supposed to be on your phone or have your earbuds in your ears.  If you are caught using your phone or earbuds, they will be confiscated.

Gorzycki Tigers will excel today, and lead tomorrow.  Make today an AWESOME Day Tigers!
