Choir students should have reported to the cafeteria today at the very beginning of 1st period to perform for 5th grade. They will return to class in the middle of 3rd period.
Are you a current 6th grader who is not currently in band but would like to join? Come to an informational meeting on Monday, January 31 during EXCEL in the commons. We will tell you how to join beginning band (spoiler alert- it's easy!) and answer all of your band-related questions. See you then!
The Gorzycki 8th grade A basketball team beat the Lamar Scotties last night by a score of 56-47. Great job Tigers!
Attention 7th graders! You will be viewing your choice sheets and selecting your 8th grade courses on Monday, January 31st during EXCEL. You will need your charged chromebook with you in order to select your courses for next year. Please remember to bring your chromebook to school every day.
Do you want to learn the art of "organized arguing"? Would you like to become more confident? Do you wish you were more influential? You need to join the first ever Gorzycki Middle School Debate Club. We will meet every Monday from 3:50-4:50 in Rm 327. The Bowie High School Debate Team officers and Teacher will be hosting this club every Monday here at GMS in Rm 327. The first club will met this Monday, Jan 31st. Please get a permission slip from the counseling office so you can stay after school.
Hey Tigers, it's time for the Hunter’s Heroes Superhero Toy drive! Hunter’s Heroes is a superhero-themed toy drive created in honor of Hunter Henderson. Hunter was a four-year-old boy who loved superheroes. Hunter liked to help people and now we have a chance to help people too. Please bring any new superhero-themed toys to school and put them in the boxes labeled Hunter’s Heroes in the Commons or bring them to Room 508. There are other ways to donate as well, including at the Circle C Community Center. In addition, there’s an Amazon Wish List located in the Excel Slide - ask your Excel teacher for the link! Please make your donations as soon as possible to bring a smile to a kid's face. Ask any PAL or Ms. Sindt in room 508 if you have any questions!
