Today is an A Day

Today’s Healthy Heart Tip is “Practice Gratitude”. Gratitude is the expression of appreciation and thankfulness. Begin keeping a gratitude journal, and each day, list three things you are grateful for. These could be obvious, but also tune into the small, everyday details of your life that you might be taking for granted. Once you become aware of all the good in your life, express that gratitude by doing a kindness for others or letting others know what they mean to you. This practice can have a positive impact on your overall health and happiness.

Attention 6th graders! Would you like to learn to play an instrument? Join the GMS band next year! No experience is required. The meeting that was scheduled during Excel today has been cancelled because you will be filling out your choice sheets at that time, but Mrs. Glaser will be in the commons so feel free to talk to her before or after you fill out your choice sheet with any band questions you may have. See you then!

The next crochet club will be February 15th in the library and the next Chess and Game club will be March 8th in the Cafeteria.

Hey Tigers, it's time for the Hunter’s Heroes Superhero Toy drive! Hunter’s Heroes is a superhero-themed toy drive created in honor of Hunter Henderson. Hunter liked to help people and now we have a chance to help people too. Please bring any new superhero-themed toys to school and put them in the boxes labeled Hunter’s Heroes in the Commons or bring them to Room 508. There are other ways to donate as well, including at the Circle C Community Center. In addition, there’s an Amazon Wish List located in the Excel Slide - ask your Excel teacher for the link! Please make your donations as soon as possible to bring a smile to a kid's face. Ask any PAL or Ms. Sindt in room 508 if you have any questions!

Calling all Coding Enthusiasts!  Code Central Club is meeting today, February 2nd from 4:00 to 4:45 in room 512.  See you there!

Gorzycki Tigers will excel today, and lead tomorrow.  Make today an AWESOME Day Tigers!
