Listen up Tigers; here are your announcements for the day.
Today is an A Day that means you will have 1st—4th period today. Once again, today is an A day.
This past weekend, the GMS Choir participated in Region Choir Contest. There were almost 500 students entered, & the GMS Choir had 45 students compete. Out of the 45 students who competed, Mr. Heckler is happy to say that 37 students were selected & will be given the opportunity to perform in a special honor choir on Saturday, February 4th. Congratulations!
This past Saturday, five 8th graders from GMS participated in the Austin ISD All-City Band at the AISD Performing Arts Center. The All-City Band is a group of over 90 middle school students from 18 different middle schools in Austin. The representatives from GMS were selected because of their excellent musicianship and dedication to the Gorzycki Band program. Congratulations to Claudia C, Max F, Rory K, Eleanor K, and Elena Z for a great performance. We are proud of you!
Middle schoolers! You are not too young to start investing! Join the Finance & Investing Club. First meeting is Wednesday from 4 to 5 in Mrs. O'Brien's room 712. Stop by during Excel to sign up and pick up a permission form.
Students, don’t forget to look through the lost and found by the gym, it’s overflowing! All unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity on Friday, February 3rd. Look for your lost stuff, today!
