Today is a b Day that means you will have 5th—8th period today. Once again, today is a B day.
No student SEL committee during EXCEL today. No EXCEL SEL meeting. Afterschool meeting is still on.

Today is the last day wristbands can be purchased online and tomorrow and Thursday wristbands will be sold during lunches. It’s School Breakfast Week and this morning we are Getting Our Day in Gear by eating whole grains. A healthy breakfast can start with cereal, bagels, muffins, waffles, pancakes or tortillas when they are made with healthy whole grains. Grains are important sources of many vitamins and minerals and help your heart stay strong for success during your school day.
Your 8th Grade A Boys Basketball won a great game against Murchison Middle School last night at Burger for the district championship, and to complete their back to back undefeated district seasons. The tigers were led by leading scorers Benton W. and Josh B, and pulled away in the second behind a strong defensive performance from the entire team that held the Matadors to just 3 points in the 3rd quarter. Congrats from Coach Fourmy and Coach Nyc on a great win and a great two seasons at Gorzycki!
Did you know that Gorzycki Middle School has a golf team? If you are in 7th or 8th grade and are interested in playing golf for Gorzycki Middle School please see Coach Fourmy in the Gym to sign up for tryouts and turn in your physical if you do not already have one on file from a previous tryout or team.

The 7th grade A basketball team capped off an undefeated season and won the City Championship by defeating the O Henry Mustangs last night by a score of 50-33. The win improved their record to 14-0 on the season. Please congratulate the players on an incredible season. Great job Tigers!
Attention all Capital 10,000 runners. The first Cap10k practice will be held this Friday morning before school at 6:45. Have your parents drop you off at the track between 6:30 and 6:45. Please remember to bring a water bottle. If you have any questions, please see Coach Sindt in room 808
