Listen up Tigers; here are your announcements for the day.
Today is an A Day that means you will have 1st—4th period today. Once again, today is an A day.
Students if you are observing Ramadan you may go to the library.
Glee students are reminded the 1st spring Glee practice will today after school from 3:50 to 4:30pm in the choir room. New music will be handed out so be sure to be there.
Students in Tiger Tones are reminded they are required to report to the choir room today during Excel for a special rehearsal for UIL.
Attention FCA students: There will be NO FCA this week. Please plan on going home your normal way on Friday. Again, NO FCA this week. We will resume when Coach Houser returns.
Students, look through the lost and found by the gym, it’s starting to fill up again. Also, did you lose your ID badge during Tiger Day? Come to the office, we probably have it in the pile of badges that were turned in.
Attention all Capital 10k runners. The next Cap10 practice will be held this Friday morning before school. Meet at the track at 6:45. If you have any questions please see Coach Sindt in room 808
Tigers - did you know that this week is AISD Pride Week? Every year, to honor the experiences and contributions of LGBTQIA+ students, staff and families, Austin ISD hosts its own Pride Week. This is a time to highlight the district's commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. To celebrate, all students are encouraged to show their support and AISD Pride this Friday, the 24th, by wearing rainbow and pride attire for our AISD Pride Spirit Day.
7th grade students, please check your student email for an email from Ms. Ryan regarding NJHS. If you received an email, you will also see your name listed on the tv screens in the commons and cafeteria. These students are eligible to apply for the National Junior Honors Society. The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship and helps middle-level students develop the knowledge and skills to become well-rounded student leaders in their school, community, and beyond. If you see your name on the list, and have an email in your inbox, please get an application from the Counseling Office or Library and follow all directions. Applications are due by Friday, March 31st.

Did you know that Gorzycki Middle School has a golf team? If you are in 7th or 8th grade and are interested in playing golf for Gorzycki Middle School please see Coach Fourmy in the Gym to sign up for tryouts and turn in your physical if you do not already have one on file from a previous tryout or team.
Listen up students! If you have another person’s badge on you you must turn it in to the office today. After today, if you are caught with someone else’s badge you will receive lunch detention.
