Listen up Tigers; here are your announcements for the day.
The 8th Grade A football team kicked off it's season with an impressive shutout of the Murchison Matadors winning by a score of 19-0. The defense had a great all around effort led by Kai L and Alec Z upfront and Rollie B, Grayson G and Noah J in the secondary. On offense, Devin L led 3 touchdown drives throwing for 2 scores with one apiece to Hunter W and Mateo R while Liam B got it done on the ground including a rushing TD. The Tigers are back in action next Tuesday vs the Paredes Pumas at Burger Annex.
Attention all NJHS students. You should all have received an invitation to join the NJHS Blend course from Mrs. Zimmerman. Please be sure to accept the invitation and mark your calendars for the upcoming meeting dates listed on the home page.
Attention all students: FCA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is looking for dedicated leaders to lead our Huddles. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes gets together for faith, fellowship, food, and fun on most Fridays after school. If you are interested in being an FCA Leader, please see Coach Houser in room 814 for more info. Remember, FCA is not just for athletes. All are welcome!
The 8B football team opened the season with a dominating 16-0 win over Murchison. Ben W. upfront, Mehki D., and Henry W. led the defense in the secondary. On offense, Baz and Aksel ran for touchdowns while Jett B threw two 2-point conversions to Jack M. Great job Tigers!
The 7th grade B team volleyball won against Kealing. Alongside them came both 8th grade A and B teams taking home the win against Kealing on their first home game of the season. Way to go tigers, we are so proud of y’all! Next week girls’ volleyball will play Bailey, 7th grade away and 8th grade at home. Let’s come out next week and support our girls!”
Calling all 6th graders! You presence is requested at the 6th grade social on Friday, September 15th. The social will be right after school from 3:50pm to 5:30pm in the cafeteria & commons. To purchase tickets and for detailed information please visit the GMS website. Tickets must be purchased online by Wednesday, September 13th.
Students, do NOT leave your backpack or Chromebook outside of your locker or in the lost and found, It will be confiscated. Please learn to use your lockers.
