Listen up Tigers; here are your announcements for the day.
Today is a C Day that means you will have 1st—8th period today. Once again, today is a C day and tomorrow and Wednesday will also be C days. That’s right, all 3 days this week are C days.
Choir students are reminded to wear their bright holiday colors, to leave all of their belongings in their lockers, & report to the gym at the beginning of 1st period on Tuesday to perform for the GMS Fine Arts Winter Assembly.
Tomorrow is the GMS Fine Arts Winter Assembly. Students from band, choir, dance, orchestra, & theater will be performing holiday selections in the GMS gym to get everyone in the holiday spirit.8th grade will watch the performance during 2nd period.7th grade will watch during 3rd period. 6th grade will watch during 4th period. Students should report to their teacher FIRST to check roll, bring all of their belongings with them, & head to the gym with their class during the time slot they are supposed to attend the performance. Students will go directly to their next class period after each performance. Students watching the performances should remember to keep all devices and belongings put away. Students should also listen attentively without booing, yelling, whistling, stomping, or yelling. Teachers should sit with their classes to help actively monitor students during the performances.
The GMS Boys B Soccer Team concluded the season with a 1 to zero victory over Lamar on Saturday. The goal was scored by Kia. B team finished the season in first place in the zone, with a record of 5 wins and no losses and outscoring their opponents 21 to zero overall. Coach Murray would like to thank all the players for their hard work and impressive performances throughout the year. Great Job B Team!
The boys soccer C team wrapped up their undefeated season on Saturday beating Martin Middle School's A team! 2 goals were scored by Edgar P. and Gus A.; Lyndon E. scored 1 goal. Sylas M., Colton V., Edgar P., Lucas F., Major E., Ryan Z, and Lyndon E. scored in our games against Small Middle School and Kealing Middle School. Our awesome team consisted of forwards: Gus A., Lyndon E., Sylas M., Edgar P., Maximo S., and Colton V. Midfielders: Drew C., Porter R., William W., Harrison Z., and Ryan Z. Defenders: Lucas F., Lucas S., Walker S., Kian W., and Jackson Z. Goalies: Major E. and Aden P.,
The Gorzycki Boys Soccer A-Team dominated Lamar Middle School on Saturday with a 5-0 victory! Scoring was led by Andres G with 3 goals, Josh L with 1 goal, and Evan D with 1 goal. The Man of the Match goes to Andres G for scoring a hat trick! The A-Team will rematch with Murchison tonight at Burger Stadium kicking off at 6 pm. Come out to support the Boys Soccer A-Team!!!
Hi Tigers! Afterschool Math tutoring has been cancelled for today. Our next Math tutoring session will be Jan. 16th.Once again, math tutoring is canceled for today.
Good morning! Gorzycki Safe Space is being held tomorrow after school in Ms. Clark's room (room 615) starting at 3:50. GSS is a student-led club that supports students that identify as LGBTQ+ or allies! Join us after school today for games, snacks, community, and fun! Be sure to have a ride ready to pick up out front at 4:30. See you there!
