Hi Tiger Families! This information is only for our GMS students currently receiving Special Education Services via an IEP only.
In preparation for the upcoming school year, we’d like to invite our Special Education students and their parents to join us for an information session. During our time together, we will discuss general campus information, answer any questions before the first day, and preview the students’ schedules.
Where: GMS Library
When: Friday, August 11th
**6th-grade Families Only**: 1pm-1:30pm
Returning 7th and 8th-grade families: 2 pm-2:30pm
**LIFE SKILLS students only**: 3 pm (will be held in the Life Skills Classroom)
Special Education staff will be present for introductions. Additionally, staff will escort students through their schedule, previewing how the student’s day will progress from one period to the next. Families will remain in the library while students walk their schedules. During this time, additional Q&A opportunities will be provided.
Please note that this is an optional event. As teachers will be busy preparing their spaces and lessons for the first day of school, students will locate rooms only. There is a campus-wide Back-To-School Night event where families can meet teachers and staff scheduled for another date/time after school begins.
