How To Apply for Application-Based Electives and Programs
There is a NEW process for applying to application-based electives and programs for the 2026–2027 school year. This includes:
- Student Council (7th grade only)
- Advanced Speech & Debate II (7th/8th grade; must have completed Speech & Debate I)
- Gnasher News TV (7th/8th grade)
- Library Aide (7th/8th grade)
- Model UN (7th/8th grade)
- Yearbook (7th/8th grade)
- Quiz Bowl (7th/8th grade; approval required through tryouts)
- PALS (8th grade only)
- NJHS (8th grade only; students must have received an invitation via email)
The first step is to complete the GMS Application-Based Electives and Programs Google Form. The form will provide specific instructions and any additional materials required for each class or program you are interested in. This may include submitting a video or picking up an additional paper application, so please read all directions carefully.
All online applications are due by Friday, January 30. Be sure to check the deadlines for any required supporting documents for each class or organization.

Athletics Physical Forms
PHYSICAL FORM INFORMATION Physicals are not accepted until after April 15th. It is recommended to get your yearly physical in April for the following school year so that the physical is valid for the entire sport season. Download the updated physical form after April 15th, 2026.
