Congratulations to the girls soccer team for winning the AISD city championship last night! The girls defeated Murchison by a final score of 2 to 0. Leading the way was Ava J and Lilly M with 1 goal each. Members of the 2025 City Championship team are 8th graders Madeline C, Claire D, Riley F, Ava J, Katelyn J, Brynn J, Carly M, Lilly M, Ivy M, Mia M, Genevieve M, Carson O, Cate S, Chloe S, Alex V, and Sierra W. 7th grade members were Claire C, Mila E, Georgia G, Ren H, Westyn O, and Greer P.
Student Council is recruiting! Are you a hardworking 6th grader looking for a leadership opportunity? Do you want to help make GMS a stronger, better community? Student Council is looking for dedicated incoming 7th graders who are ready to lead and make a difference! If you're interested in joining STUCO, pick up an application in Room 604 and return it by Monday, March 3rd. Don’t miss this chance to serve, lead, and leave your mark on GMS!
Track tryouts are coming up! Both boys and girls will tryout the week of March 3rd. Boys will tryout before school and girls will be after. If you are not in Athletics you will need to sign up in the coaches office in the gym. Boys see coach Neary and Girls see coach Pena to sign up. You must have all paperwork on file or turned in before tryouts.
Attention all students: FCA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, will hold our next Huddle today after school. Huddles will be every Friday after school, unless noted otherwise, in room 814 from 3:55-4:25. Those attending need to arrange a ride to pick them up in the front of the school at 4:30. Come join us for fellowship, food, and fun. Remember, FCA is not just for athletes. All are welcome!
