As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, today we recognize César Chávez, a Mexican American civil rights leader who fought for farm workers’ rights. He believed in peaceful protest and helped create better working conditions through the United Farm Workers union. 

His famous phrase, “Sí, se puede!” — “Yes, it can be done” — still inspires people today to stand up for justice and fairness. 

Let’s honor his legacy by treating others with respect and speaking up for what’s right. 

Attention all students: FCA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is back! Our first Huddle of the year will take place Friday, September 19th IN THE MORNING from 7:40-8:10am in the SMALL GYM. Huddles will be every Friday before school, unless noted otherwise, in the small gym. Those attending may enter the small gym at 7:40 through the doors near the outside basketball courts. For our first Huddle, we will have a guest speaker. Also, new this year, those attending clubs must complete the Student Club Participation Consent Form located on the GMS Parent Page online. Come join us for fellowship, food, and fun. Remember, FCA is not just for athletes. All are welcome!
