Congratulations to the cross country teams for an outstanding performance last Friday night at the St. Andrew's Invitational.  Out of 25 teams the girls finished 6th and the boys 5th.  Leading the way for the girls was Lana B, Bellamy W, Havyn R, Grace S, and Martina A.  The top boy runners were Jackson D, Sean B, Anael C, Nolan A, and Wesley C. The next meet will be this Saturday in Round Rock.    

Today’s ‘Person of the Day” for Hispanic Heritage Month is Linda Alvarado.  She is the first Latinx co-owner of a major league baseball team - the Colorado Rockies and was the first woman involved in a bid for MLB team ownership.  Ms. Alvarado is the CEO of Alvarado Construction, a company she started in 1976 with help from her parents.  She is also president of a restaurant company and a board member of 3M.   

Attention all students: FCA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is back! Our first Huddle of the year will take place Friday, September 19th IN THE MORNING from 7:40-8:10am in the SMALL GYM. Huddles will be every Friday before school, unless noted otherwise, in the small gym. Those attending may enter the small gym at 7:40 through the doors near the outside basketball courts. For our first Huddle, we will have a guest speaker. Remember, FCA is not just for athletes. All are welcome!
