Daily Announcements: 11/05/25

As we continue to honor Native American's this month, today we learn about Ben Nighthorse Campbell.  Ben Nighthorse Campbell was the first Native American to serve in the Senate in almost 60 years when he was elected in 1992 and only the third ever to serve.  He has also been an Olympic Judo wrestler, deputy sheriff, jewelry maker, lobbyist, and fought in the Korean War. Mr. Campbell was given the name "Nighthorse" when he returned to the Northern Cheyenne reservation for his name-giving ceremony, as a member of his father's family, Blackhorse.

Lettuce Talk today during lunch.  6th graders be on the lookout for a pass.  If you receive a pass and don't want to attend, please let Mrs. Parnell know so someone else can have that spot.  7th and 8th graders - Join us outside for fresh air, conversation, and games.

Come out and support your 7/8th C team girls basketball team today at 5:45 vs. O. Henry.  It is their first game of the season, and your support is appreciated.  Go C Team!

Students, have you looked at the lost and found by the gym?  If not, I’m not sure how you could miss it because it is overflowing with lost items.  Are you missing your planner, your water bottle, perhaps a shoe? Check the lost and found, your lost item is probably there.  All unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity on November 21st after school.
