Daily Announcements: 11/11/25

Today we celebrate Veterans Day, honoring all who have served in our country’s military. A special thank you to Mr. Route and Mr. Garza for their service in the U.S. Armed Forces, your dedication inspires us all. At this time, please rise for the National Anthem, sung by 7th grader Emily Balderas.

In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, we recognize Deb Haaland, the first Native American to serve as a cabinet secretary, serving from 2021-25.  Also, she was one of the first two Native American women elected to Congress in 2018.  Her parents were both in the military and she attended 13 different public schools before settling in New Mexico.   Former Secretary Haaland is now running for Governor of New Mexico.

It’s getting chilly out there, Gorzycki! Help spread the warmth by donating to Coats for Kids! From November 13th to the 21st, bring in new or gently used coats of any size. Every donation earns you a raffle ticket for a prize — and the good feeling of helping someone stay warm this winter. Remember — the drive runs November 13th through November 21st!

Hey sixth graders! Come join PALS at Lunch Buddies today outside the cafeteria. Lunch buddies is open to all sixth graders, and it’s a great opportunity to talk to PALS, get to know more of your peers, and socialize. See you there!

7th Grade Boys open gym will be Friday, November 20th at 6:30am, see Coach Gaines for more information.

Students check the lost and found by the gym and find your lost item. All unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity on Friday, November 21st after school.
