In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, today we spotlight Harvey Pratt. Harvey Pratt is an Arapaho and Cheyenne artist who designed the centerpiece of the National Native American Veterans Memorial. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years, including time in Vietnam. His work can be seen in the Smithsonian and National Park service. Mr. Pratt also worked for years as a forensic artist, including a project about Bigfoot!
Both the 8th grade A and B girls basketball teams remained undefeated by beating the Small Cougars last night. The A team was led by Bela B who dropped 19 points. Alexa C scored 12, Elsie C and Grace S each had 9 and Greer P added 8. The B team came back to win a tight one! Isabel N scored 6 and Sarah C and Clarissa C chipped in with 4 apiece. The Tigers play in the Hays Hoopfest tournament on Saturday.
