Today we celebrate Kathryn Jones Harrison as part of Native American Heritage Month. She served as Leader of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon after attending Chemawa Indian School and Lane Community College's School of Nursing. Her testimony before Congress helped the Grand Ronde to achieve tribal status, and pass the Reservation Restoration Act of 1988 .
Congratulations to the boys soccer C team on their 4 to 1 win over the Burnet middle school B team. Goals were scored by Wesley C and Nic I. Lincoln C. scored 2 goals. Assists were given by Wesley C, Abdullah S, Gavin V, and Taran N. The GMS C team will play Covington on Saturday, November 22nd at 10:30am at Covington middle school.
