As we continue celebrating African American Heritage Month, today we honor Frederick Douglass—a man who proved that 'knowledge is the pathway from slavery to freedom.' Born into slavery, Douglass secretly taught himself to read and write before escaping to freedom at age 20. He didn't just stay safe; he became a world-famous speaker and author to fight for the rights of others. He even advised President Abraham Lincoln and was a huge supporter of women’s right to vote at the Seneca Falls Convention. Douglass shows us that no matter where you start, your voice and your education can change the world!"
