In recognition of African American Heritage Month, we honor Louis Armstrong.  One of the most influential jazz trumpet players of all time, Mr. Armstrong grew up in New Orleans. His career spanned over five decades. He played in bands, orchestras, and solo, eventually winning Grammys, including a Lifetime Achievement Award, and was elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Mr. Armstrong was also the first African American to host a nationally broadcast radio show in 1937. In addition to all of this, he also acted in several films and wrote an autobiography.  Fun fact - Mr. Armstrong loved his New Orleans food so much he signed his letters “red beans and ricely yours”

Hey sixth graders! Come join PALS at Lunch Buddies today outside the cafeteria. Lunch buddies is open to all sixth graders, and it’s a great opportunity to talk to PALS, get to know more of your peers, and socialize. See you there!

Students, don’t forget to look through the lost and found by the gym, it is overflowing with lost items.  All unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity this Friday after school so again, do what your parents told you and look for your jacket, binder, or shoes today.
