Rami Malek, a first-generation American of Egyptian descent.  Born in Los Angeles to immigrant parents from Cairo, Malek has redefined representation in Hollywood through his historic achievements:  

In 2019, he became the first actor of Egyptian heritage to win the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in Bohemian Rhapsody. 

He was the first non-white actor in nearly 20 years to win the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Mr. Robot. 

Throughout his career, Malek has famously refused "terrorist" or caricatured roles, insisting on portraying complex, human characters.
