Today’s Arab American Heritage Month spotlight is on award-winning actor Tony Shalhoub.  The son of Lebanese immigrants, Shalhoub grew up in Wisconsin before becoming one of the most respected actors in Hollywood. He is best known for his iconic roles as the brilliant detective in Monk and the hilarious Abe Weissman in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. With five Emmy Awards and a Tony Award to his name, he has broken barriers for Arab American performers in both television and theater. In 2023, he was formally honored by Lebanon’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for his contributions to the global Lebanese diaspora.

Hey sixth graders! Come join PALS at Lunch Buddies today outside the cafeteria. Lunch buddies is open to all sixth graders, and it’s a great opportunity to talk to PALS, get to know more of your peers, and socialize. See you there!

Hey Tigers! Don't forget about a new donation event called Sunny Days Drive that is happening at our school! If you have any new or gently used items like beach towels, flip flops, swimsuits for kids through teens, or any other swim related items then you should think about donating! You can drop off donations at Gorzycki Middle School during school hours, from now until April 28th. The collection boxes will be set up outside of the  front office, and to the right of the main staircase in the commons. These items will go towards less fortunate kids who don't have easy access to swim items this summer.
