Today’s Arab American Heritage Month’s spotlight goes to Amani al-Khatahtbeh, a Jordanian-Palestinian American tech entrepreneur and author from New Jersey who started her own media company at just 17 years old! Ms. al-Khatahbeh created MuslimGirl.com, the most popular website for Muslim women in the West. She wanted to make sure women like her had a place to tell their own stories. Ms. al-Khatahtbeh was the first veiled Muslim woman to be honored on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for her work in media and tech. In 2020, she became the first Muslim woman to run for Congress in the state of New Jersey!
