Daily Announcements: 04/30/26

For our last Arab American Heritage Month spotlight, today we recognize Rania Matar, a Lebanese-American photographer known for taking pictures of girls and women from all over the world.  Her most famous project, A Girl and Her Room, shows how teenagers in the U.S. and the Middle East actually have a lot in common! Her work has been shown in the biggest museums in the world, like the Museum of Fine Arts and the Guggenheim. She even won a huge award called a Guggenheim Fellowship! Ms. Matar has also led photography workshops for girls in refugee camps.

Tomorrow kicks off Mental Health Awareness Month with Be Seen in Green Day.  Small actions can have a meaningful impact. By participating in Wear Green Day, we are helping to create a school environment where students and staff feel seen, supported, and connected.  Know that You Matter Here.

If you are applying to be a Tiger camp counselor don't forget that applications are due tomorrow, May 1st.

See Ms. Mazac, Ms. Zimmerman or your ELA teacher for more information.
