Today for Hispanic Heritage Month, we are celebrating a pioneer who literally reached for the stars: Dr. Ellen Ochoa. Dr. Ochoa made history as the world's first Hispanic woman to go into space when she blasted off aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery. Not only is she a brilliant engineer and astronaut who flew four historic space missions, but she also became the first Hispanic director of NASA's famous Johnson Space Center. As a kid, she loved science and music, even playing her flute while floating in orbit!

Interested in illusion, card tricks, or sleight of hand? Come join the GMS magicians club after school, every Thursday in Room 811, to learn tricks that will amaze your friends. Hope to see you there!

Hey 6th graders! Come join PALS at Lunch Buddies today outside the cafeteria. Lunch buddies is open to all 6th graders, and it’s a great opportunity to talk to PALS, get to know more of your peers, and socialize. See you there!

Hey students have you looked at the lost and found by the gym or the one in the 600 hall across from the restrooms?  If not, I’m not sure how you could miss it because it is overflowing with lost items. There are tons of water bottles, lunch boxes, and so much more.  So, do what your parents told you and look for your lost jacket, shoe or whatever it is you lost.  All unclaimed items will be donated to Goodwill on Monday, October 19th.

Gorzycki Tigers will excel today and lead tomorrow. Happy Tuesday Tigers!
