Daily Announcements: 10/26/2026

Hey Tigers! This week is National Red Ribbon Week. The red ribbon campaign was founded in 1985 in Calexico, California, following the death of Enrique "Kiki" Camarena, a Drug Enforcement Special Agent who was killed by drug traffickers. Since then, millions of people around the world have worn the red ribbon to raise awareness of the devastating effects of drugs and alcohol abuse, and to show their commitment to leading a drug-free life. This week, PALS have created a few activities to help you participate in Red Ribbon Week.

  • Each day, there will be announcements with important facts about drug and alcohol abuse.

  • On Tuesday, the PALS will be handing out red ribbon stickers at all three lunches so you, too, can show your commitment to leading a drug-free life.

  • All week, be on the lookout for large red ribbons that are hidden around the school. If you find one, bring it to Ms. Sindt in room 508 to claim your prize!
