As we continue to celebrate African American Heritage Month, today we recognize Ida B. Wells.  At just 16 years old, she became a teacher to support her siblings after their parents passed away. But she is best known as a fearless investigative journalist who risked everything to expose the truth about racial violence in the South. Even when mobs destroyed her newspaper office to try and silence her, she refused to back down. Instead, she moved to Chicago and kept writing, eventually helping to found the NAACP and fighting for women's right to vote. Ida once said, 'The way to right wrongs is to turn the light of truth upon them'. Today, her face is even featured on a U.S. Quarter to honor her legacy as a champion of justice. As you go through your day, think about how you can use your own voice to stand up for what is right.

Attention all students: FCA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, will hold our next Huddle this Friday morning. Huddles will be every Friday morning, unless noted otherwise, in the small gym from 7:30-8:10am. This week we will start off on the Outdoor Basketball Courts and then transition to the gym. Come join us for fellowship, food, and fun. Remember, FCA is not just for athletes. All are welcome!
