As we continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, today we recognize the first Latina in space, Ellen Ochoa.  She flew in space THREE times, the first time in 1993. She even played the flute in space!  Her job during those missions was to use the Canadarm to grab and move things in space.   Dr. Ochoa was also the first Hispanic to be director of Johnson Space Center and only the second woman. 

Attention all students: FCA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is back! Our first Huddle of the year will take place Friday, September 19th IN THE MORNING from 7:40-8:10am in the SMALL GYM. Huddles will be every Friday before school, unless noted otherwise, in the small gym.  

Those attending may enter the small gym at 7:40 through the doors near the outside basketball courts. For our first Huddle, we will have a guest speaker. Remember, FCA is not just for athletes. All are welcome!
