Today we recognize Scotty Gomez, the first Mexican American to play in the National Hockey League.  He played 16 years in the NHL, winning the Stanley Cup with his team, the New Jersey Devils.  Mr. Gomez was also an assistant coach in the NHL, Brush Columbia Hockey League, and head coach in the United States Hockey League.
