As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, today we feature Mauricio Dubon, Houston Astro baseball player from Honduras. He grew up playing soccer. At age 15, he went to California as an exchange student and was introduced to baseball. After high school he was drafted and has never looked back. Dubón is only the second native born Honduran to play in the MLB, and the first to appear in the playoffs, and to win a World Series. He also won a Gold Glove in 2023 at the utility position.
