Today’s “person of the day” for Hispanic Heritage Month is José Plácido Domingo Embil. He is a Spanish opera singer, & conductor, particularly famous for being part of the “Three Tenors”, with Luciano Pavarotti and José Carreras. Domingo was born in Spain and his family moved to Mexico when he was about 8 years old. His talent was discovered at the age of five, and at twelve years old, he performed his first professional role. He has recorded over a hundred complete operas and has over 4000 career performances. He has performed operas in Italian, French, German, Spanish, English and Russian in the world’s most prestigious opera houses.

Hey sixth graders! Want a nice place to talk with your peers and make new friends? Join PALS for Lunch Buddies outside the cafeteria in the commons during A lunch tomorrow. It’s an opportunity to talk to PALS, get to know more of your peers, and socialize. Lunch buddies is open to all sixth graders, and there’s no sign-up, so feel free to join us whenever you feel like it!
