In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, today we spotlight Sean Sherman. He is an Oglala Lakota Sioux and grew up hunting and foraging. Mr. Sherman founded the Indigenous Food Lab, catering service The Sioux Chef, and founded the nonprofit North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems. He has written/co-written two books - The Sioux Chef’s Indigenous Kitchen and Turtle Island: Foods and Traditions of the Indigenous Peoples of North America and won James Beard awards.
