In honor of Women’s History Month, today we are celebrating Sandra Douglass Morgan.  Ms. Douglass Morgan is the President of the Las Vegas Raiders, making her the first Black woman in history to lead an NFL team. Before she was running a professional football team, she was a lawyer and led the Nevada Gaming Control Board.  She proved that you can lead in industries where women haven't always had a seat at the table. As a leader of Asian and African American descent, Ms. Douglass Morgan shows us that our backgrounds are our strengths. She often says her goal is to open doors so that more students—just like you—can follow in her footsteps. 

Did you know GMS has a golf team? Tryouts are this Friday 03/13 after school at Gorzycki. If you're a 7th or 8th grader and are interested in testing your golf game against other teams in the district in tournament golf, go see Coach Fourmy in the gym to sign up for tryouts and pick up the golf information packet. You must have a physical on file and be cleared in rank one to try out. 

Attention all students: FCA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, will hold our next Huddle this Friday morning. Huddles will be every Friday morning, unless noted otherwise, in the small gym from 7:30-8:05am. Those attending need to enter the small gym through the doors near the outside basketball courts. Come join us for fellowship, food, and fun. Remember, FCA is not just for athletes. All are welcome!
