As we continue to celebrate Women’s History Month, today we recognize Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. She is a Harvard educated former federal public defender from Miami, Florida. She is the first black woman to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court and only the sixth woman to serve at all. She was a national champion debater in high school and told her high school yearbook that she wanted "to go into law and eventually have a judicial appointment"
Today, members of the National Junior Honor Society will be hosting the "Interest to Impact" Community Service Fair for ALL Gorzycki students during ALL three lunches AND recess. We would like to invite you to check out all the booths to learn more about different service opportunities around Austin. 7th graders- If you are applying for NJHS be sure to bring your service log and the NJHS officers will sign off on one hour of service just for attending the fair!
