As we celebrate Arab American Heritage Month this April, we recognize the contributions of Arab Americans who shape our cultural landscape. Today, we spotlight Ramy Youssef, an Egyptian American comedian, actor, and director whose work has redefined the portrayal of Arab and Muslim identities in mainstream media. Born in Queens and raised in New Jersey, Youssef has used his platform to bridge cultural divides through authentic storytelling. His achievements continue to inspire a new generation of Arab American creators to tell their own stories with boldness and specificity.
Hey Tigers! Don't forget about a new donation event called Sunny Days Drive that is happening at our school! If you have any new or gently used items like beach towels, flip flops, swimsuits for kids through teens, or any other swim related items then you should think about donating! You can drop off donations at Gorzycki Middle School during school hours, from now until April 28th. The collection boxes will be set up outside of the front office, and to the right of the main staircase in the commons. These items will go towards less fortunate kids who don't have easy access to swim items this summer.
