As we continue celebrating Arab American Heritage Month, today we recognize Ralph Nadar. His parents had immigrated from Lebanon before he was born. Mr. Nadar is known as a "consumer crusader"—someone who fights to make sure the products we buy are safe. Did you know? Before Mr. Nadar cars didn't have to have seatbelts! His book, Unsafe at Any Speed, forced car companies to make vehicles much safer. He’s the reason you buckle up every day! He helped start the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to keep our air and water clean. Mr. Nadar pushed for laws that created OSHA, which makes sure people are safe at their jobs. Ralph Nader shows us that one person speaking up can save millions of lives.

Hey Tigers! Don't forget about a new donation event called Sunny Days Drive that is happening at our school! If you have any new or gently used items like beach towels, flip flops, swimsuits for kids through teens, or any other swim related items then you should think about donating! You can drop off donations at Gorzycki Middle School during school hours, from now until April 28th. The collection boxes will be set up outside of the front office, and to the right of the main staircase in the commons. These items will go towards less fortunate kids who don't have easy access to swim items this summer.
Students! Please look through the lost and found by the gym. All items will be donated to a local charity, next Friday, May 1st.
