As we kick off Hispanic Heritage Month today, we recognize Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. As the first Hispanic and third woman to serve on the High Court, she is a powerful inspiration. Born in the Bronx to Puerto Rican parents, she overcame many challenges. Sotomayor was first inspired by detective Nancy Drew, but her dream shifted to law after watching an episode of Perry Mason when she was 10 years old. Her story is a testament to the power of determination and education.
