Hey Tigers! Today marks the end of Red Ribbon Week, but that doesn’t mean we should stop paying attention! People tend to think of drugs as just the illegal stuff you buy on the street. But ANY drug - even prescription and over-the-counter drugs – can be harmful if used incorrectly. If you think someone is misusing drugs or alcohol, there are steps you can take to protect them. First, don’t let them drive if they have been drinking! Second, if you see symptoms of overdose, call 911 immediately. Third, if you suspect someone is using drugs, tell a trusted adult, or text or call 988, a crisis hotline available 24 hours a day. Last, talk to people about the dangers of drugs and alcohol and - most importantly - Just Say No to them yourself! We hope you learned a lot this week! If you are ready to commit to a drug-free life, please sign your name on the Red Ribbon Week posters in each grade-level hallway, and Commons. Encourage your friends to do the same! Let’s all commit to a healthy lifestyle! Thank you for participating in Red Ribbon Week!
